Sugar Mold Decor Ideas
Hope everyone’s having an awesome day! I posted about an amazing deal this morning regarding my sugar mold and had quite a few questions about the items I used to decorate mine with so I thought it would be a perfect blog post! Thank you so much to everyone that posts comments and questions on my instagram posts because it really does help me come up with ideas that I think people might be interested in reading about! Okay so first off is this gorgeous sugar mold that will probably sell out before the end of the day at this low price! I have seriously wanted a large 12 hole sugar mold for at least the past 5 years, so when it came up for grabs a few months ago for under $50, I quickly grabbed one! I had priced them for years and had never seen one under $100, so I took a chance and absolutely LOVE it!!
So the next step was deciding what I wanted to place in the holes! I love the simple look of the glass votives but also wanted a pop of color! I quickly went to one of my favorite places to shop for just about everything and took some chances and ordered a few different types of succulent picks. I was super excited when they came in and fit perfectly without having to add anything else….just bent the succulent picks at the bottom and dropped them in and were good to go! I did consider buying small pots and planting real succulents but since this is located on a table that my sweet little toddler plays at, I quickly decided against that idea!
Next up was the small votive candles. I did another quick search and found a box of 12 that had great reviews and figured I could use the extra votives somewhere else in my home or quickly change it up by removing the succulents and placing all 12 votive candles in at as well.
Since I have only had this sugar mold for the summer months, I have not played around with it much after getting it decorated, but I am looking forward to styling it for fall and Christmas! I was thinking mini white pumpkins in place of the succulent picks!
Here’s another sugar mold that I just found that is an awesome price and should still be available!
And here is a smaller 6 hole sugar mold!
Here are a few more that I love!

Light Fixture Update
Wow I can not believe it’s already been a year since we began our kitchen renovations! It definitely took much longer than expected but when your sweet hubby is doing the majority of the work along with having a full-time job, you just learn to be very patient!! I’ll save that experience for another blog post once I can dig up all the before and after pics! Today I’m sharing my new light fixture that we just recently installed last week! I first saw this gorgeous distressed white wood chandelier on Fixer Upper and all over Pinterest and just knew it would be perfect over the farmhouse table my husband built! I priced it on the internet and saw prices as high as $500 and I knew that was definitely out of my budget! We were on a road trip in the car this summer when this baby came up as a deal of the day and I knew I better grab one quick since it was about half the price! My new motto is you should just buy it if you feel like you can not live without it because you can always return it later if you change your mind……pretty sure I learned that from my amazing mom!! So here it is! Love how just a simple change can really make such a difference in a small space! When we moved into our home 12 years ago, we had a brass chandelier which we quickly spray painted black (I so wish I had before and after pics of that!) and it worked just perfect for the next 10 years! Then a few years ago, I finally updated with an antique bronze lantern off of Amazon that was a Pottery Barn look-alike and it worked great over our round glass table, but with a growing family and a baby on the way, we needed a larger table which eventually led to a bigger light fixture!
I just absolutely love how a simple update like a light fixture can really just brighten up a room! I kept this bronze lantern, and I am just waiting to find the perfect spot for it! I might even move it to my laundry room or my daughter’s room we are about to makeover…..haven’t told my husband that idea just yet:) The one thing I love about both of these light fixtures is that they do not have glass components which in my opinion just constantly looks dusty in my house!! Well that’s it for today, and as I was typing this post up, my chandelier was back up for grabs here. If you are interested in the antique bronze lantern, you can find the link below! I only paid $149 for it so you may want to wait and see if the price drops! Here’s a great tip for any Amazon shoppers out there…..I actually add items I am thinking of purchasing to my wish list so then I can check daily or weekly and it will show if the price has dropped!
